Xenarc Technologies Takes In-Vehicle Computing to Another Level at International CES

Xenarc Technologies created quite a buzz at International CES this year in Las Vegas with the unveiling of many new products designed for the in-vehicle computing environment, and also promoted many new partnerships with some of mobile entertainments’ biggest players.  Xenarc Technologies displayed at the upper level of South Hall this year.

The long awaited prototype of the in-dash version of the 700TSV was introduced at CES this year.  The monitor is a fully motorized, in-dash 7” touchscreen VGA monitor with 2 composite video inputs as well as a composite audio input.  Xenarc also introduced a 7” roof mount flipdown VGA monitor with touchscreen as well as an 8” 4:3 aspect ratio VGA monitor with touchscreen.  In addition to these new monitors, the Company also announced that headrest shrouds for the 700 series monitors would be available immediately for purchase.  With these 3 new items, Xenarc Technologies positions itself to fully take over the in-vehicle computing market, making VGA monitors available for installation anywhere in any vehicle.  Mass production for both the roof mount and the in-dash monitors is expected in March.  Along with the new monitors Xenarc Technologies also took the time to introduce new PC’s to complement the current line.  The first was a P3 fanless PC, as well as a compact P4 PC, both due out in March.

While Xenarc Technologies used its booth in South Hall to introduce new products and promote in-vehicle computing, the Company’s presence could be felt throughout the show.  The 700TSV was well represented in Rockford Fosgate’s primary show vehicle, a Hummer H2, with 8 screens throughout the vehicle that won a CES People’s Choice award.  The screens were used as display monitors as well as a control interface in the dash.  310 Motoring also used the 1040POS in the front dash of its Cadillac Escalade show vehicle, which was also used as a demo vehicle for remotely controlling Microsoft’s Windows Media Edition show house.  NavTV also used Xenarc Technologies’ 7” VGA line to promote its new software that fully utilizes an in-vehicle computer’s functionality with navigation, engine diagnostics, and many other features all built in.  With all of this exposure, the Company also shared a “CES Innovation” award with TRC, who introduced their in-vehicle computing system that integrated the 700 series VGA monitors with the MP-SC1.

Xenarc Technologies hopes to use the publicity generated by International CES to make in-vehicle computing more of a mainstream idea.  For further information, please write an inquiry to sales@xenarc.com.
