Continuing its push into the mobile computing market, Xenarc Technologies Corporation proudly added the MPTX1 mini computer to its product line. In addition to the MPTX1-CS1, which comes equipped with an Intel Celeron 1 GHz processor, the Company also added the MPTX1-CS2, which runs on a Pentium III 1.2 GHz chip. All of these computers are upgradeable to CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW or DVD/CD-RW combo drive. The MPTX1-CS2 also includes and 2 USB ports and a 20 GB hard drive, whereas the MPTX1-CS1 comes with 2 USB ports and a 10 GB hard drive.

These units were brought in to complement the 7” VGA monitors (700Y & 700YV) as well as the 7” touchscreen VGA monitors (700TS & 700TSV), all of which are core products in Xenarc’s product line. “We’ve had enormous success with our line of VGA monitors, and we’ve been pre-sold out of our 7” touchscreen monitor for quite some time now. Logically, we looked to provide a bundle with these monitors by providing a cost-efficient mobile computer,” said a company spokeman, of their decision to bring on the computers. Said a company spokesman, “We’ve received numerous requests from customers for an affordable mobile personal computer to go with our monitors. I’m glad we’ve found something that fits what customers are looking for in mobile computing.”
