Xenarc Technologies proudly presented its 7" Wide Screen TFT LCD Monitor with VGA input.  The Company is one of the first to introduce a monitor of this kind with this type of input.

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year, Xenarc Technologies introduced two new models, the 700Y and the 700YV, both with VGA inputs.  The 700YV model also includes 3 Audio/Video inputs for increased versatility.  Consumer enthusiasm for these units has been extremely high, as anticipated with a monitor of this sort.  Applications anywhere from PC's to servers to GPS, or any other VGA functions were mentioned as potential hot-markets for this monitor. 

"We've been waiting for a monitor like this, with the versatility of different inputs, and with mobile computing on the rise, this monitor is exactly where I thought the industry is going," mentioned one of Xenarc's customers while purchasing 3 samples at the show.  Software companies, such as Microsoft, as well as surveillance companies and mobile video resellers were clamoring for samples of these units at the show.

Xenarc Technologies has immediate availability on these monitors, as they have begun mass producing the monitors in order to better meet demand.  These monitors were first introduced in Asia and Europe last year with wide-spread acclaim, and after CES, it became apparent that the US market was ready for a monitor such as these.  "We feel the natural progression for TFT LCD monitors is moving in this direction.  Our factory has already been selling these monitors in Asia where demand is already established, and we think the United States is starting to feel the space constraints on their technology where a monitor such as this with different types of input would help those applications," said a company spokesman.

The monitors include a 15 pin D-SUB VGA input, with the 700YV also including 3 AV inputs.  The screens are 16:9 wide screen, ultra-high VGA resolution (640x480 ~ 800x480), with a brightness of about 200~250 NIT.  The brightness of the monitors may be upgraded upon request.
